New tour, website and download!!
Hello everyone!
It has been such an incredible journey with you all…and really, we are just beginning. I am so excited to officially announce our first ever headlining tour….the ALL ABOUT YOU Tour (clever, we know)!! PureVolume.com, who has been supporting us since the very beginning, will be hosting a ton of daily content and support along our run. We’re also so stoked to bring out Ocean Grove and Andrew Allen..so please be sure to check them out!

What do you get when you put some good tunes with some very emotive lyrics – a really enjoyable album.
Normally, I review albums by artists that I have heard of but this time was different. I knew nothing about He Is We at all.
To give you a little background on the band:
These two were working in a music store, found each other, and decided make beautiful music together. Sounds like it could have been the premise of a 90s Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks film. No wonder their first released track is called “Happily Ever After.”
This album has had a lot of play since its arrival in the mailbox; we have really enjoyed it. The style of the music is not new but it is current. I would compare their sound to Vanessa Carlton, Sara Bareilles, and Paramore. The tunes are so catchy that there should be a warning label advising you that you may experience random moments of bursting into song…although that is an everyday occurrence around here.
We felt that several of the songs would be perfect for movies or commercials. We made up whole storylines to go with the different tracks. One thing that recording artists want to be is memorable. So the fact that they started dialogue, I would say, was a good indicator that He Is We was successful.

We are hitting the road on our very own HEADLINING TOUR! This time it’s “All About You.” We’ll play some new songs, some old songs. We’ll probably take some requests too, so we’re busy brushing up on our Yanni and Pantera covers. Purevolume.com is going to be your hub for everything about the tour. We’ll be posting videos CONSTANTLY. Even if we can’t hit your city this time, we hope that you feel apart of our journey. It’ll be like Homeward Bound 3: Cruising USA. Not sure which one of is Chance and which is Sassy.

How did you first find out about He is We?: I found out about He Is We from the Purevolume Top 20.
What is your favourite He is We song and why (ie: It have special meaning, you can relate, you just really like the tune/lyrics etc.)?:
‘Prove You Wrong’ and ‘His Name’ are tied for my favourite song by them. For ‘Prove You Wrong’ i had gone through a similar situation that is in the song and it just was a song I kept on repeat, still do. The reason I love ‘His Name’ is because I’m a religious person yet I don’t listen to a lot of religion directed songs, but for some reason I love it. It’s extremely relate-able and overall a beautiful song. It’s one of my most played songs in my iTunes.
Have you ever seen He is We Live?:
No, they have yet to come to my neck of the woods. One day though, I will.
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I never do well with telling others about myself but here it goes. Music is one of my passions. I taught myself the guitar and I’ve been playing for two years now. I love live concerts. I was born in Canada but I go to school in Buffalo, NY. My parents are from a small country called El Salvador, so i’m quite fluent in Spanish. I’m a religious person yet I love hearing what others believe. I find the diversity in people to be a wonderful thing.
Tell me why I should choose you for Fan of the Month?:
He Is We is one of my favourite bands. I feel as if their music is timeless. I also run the site http://effyeahheiswe.tumblr.com/. I’m a huge supporter of the band since I found out about them. I’ve gotten a bunch of my friends to listen to them and now they’re hooked too. I wouldn’t say i’m their biggest fan but I am a dedicated one.
