How did you first find out about He is We?: I’m a big fan of different kinds of music, and I was searching once before online and I had discovered this band. When I say discovered I really mean discovered, I live in a very small town. I’d go on ranting about this amazing band that changed my life and everybody would be like, who? Another time I was at a church gathering and the church was playing some songs from He Is We and they just spoke to me. Out of Tacoma, Washington, emerges a beautifully balanced chemistry of lyrically impassioned vocal melodies paired with simple, heartfelt, and tasteful songs. Judging from the ultimately agreeable, pristine pop of the resulting album, they chose well… VERY well. Continue reading →
There’s only one thing I can think of that I find more excitingly rare than seeing a dog walk on its hind legs…and that’s coming across a band where you love every single one of its released songs. Literally. The duo of Rachel Taylor and Trevor Kelly do just that when they combine their indicative lyrics and lasting melodies to form the band He Is We. Continue reading →
