2011 was a year of ups and downs for He Is We. The Tacoma, WA duo had a fantastic start with their album My Forever getting embraced by consumers and critics alike. The Aaron Sprinkle produced effort had a strong debut on the charts and the twosome got a ton of attention. They also had several tour opportunities lined up to get in front of more people and spread their music the hard way.
A big tour for He Is We was going to be a run of shows with All Time Low But after only a few dates on the road they were forced to pull off the tour due to Rachel Taylor’s health issues. Respecting Taylor’s privacy, we won’t disclose Rachel’s condition, but she did say that it was both “frustrating” and “manageable.” The frustrating part has been the lack of being able to go out on the road and play shows. Interview: He Is We
With the duo recently signing to Universal Motown, Alter The Press! thought it’d be ideal to speak to one half of He Is We, an alternative pop duo from Tacoma, Washington. Compared to the likes Eisley and She & Him, He Is We were the number 1 unsigned artist on Purevolume.com last year and earlier this year played SxSw and Bamboozle.
The duo are now working with producers Casey Bates (Chiodos, Portugal. The Man), Aaron Sprinkle (The Almost, Eisley), and Dan Romer (Ingrid Michelson) on their new album.

He Is We
He is We Fansite celebrates it’s first birthday!

On October the 29th 2009, I first opened He is We Fansite. (I’m a little bit late in saying this…) & I’m happy to have seen the website grow as it has. We’ve made it through our first year.
I’d also like to apologise for the website not being updated the last few weeks. My personal life got in the way. But I’m hoping all will be back to normal now.
So Happy first Birthday He is We Fansite! & Here’s hoping there’s plenty more to come.
