How has He is We changed your life?
I know my life was immediately changed the first time I heard about He is We. I still remember how I learnt of them, and am so thankful. What I love is I not only feel a deep connected to their music, but they make an effort to make real connections to us. Their band name shows this. They are not superior to us. They are equal with us, and they don’t just have a band/fan relationship with us, but you feel like you are their friends.
I made this fansite not long after I found out about them. I just wanted a place to share news bout them, and a place where all their lyrics were. I wanted to share the love I had for He is We in anyway I could. Especially since I’m in Australia, which is so far away from them. I wanted to connect with other fans, and He is We fansite has helped me do that. I have even made friends from it!
This band is so much more than a band to me, & they have given me so much. Thank you Rachel, & Trevor. I love you guys!

This has hands down been the best summer ever. We never dreamed the All About You Tour would be as amazing as it was….and as the name implies, we owe it all to you guys. Seriously. What do you get when you put some good tunes with some very emotive lyrics – a really enjoyable album.
Normally, I review albums by artists that I have heard of but this time was different. I knew nothing about He Is We at all.
To give you a little background on the band:
These two were working in a music store, found each other, and decided make beautiful music together. Sounds like it could have been the premise of a 90s Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks film. No wonder their first released track is called “Happily Ever After.”
This album has had a lot of play since its arrival in the mailbox; we have really enjoyed it. The style of the music is not new but it is current. I would compare their sound to Vanessa Carlton, Sara Bareilles, and Paramore. The tunes are so catchy that there should be a warning label advising you that you may experience random moments of bursting into song…although that is an everyday occurrence around here.
We felt that several of the songs would be perfect for movies or commercials. We made up whole storylines to go with the different tracks. One thing that recording artists want to be is memorable. So the fact that they started dialogue, I would say, was a good indicator that He Is We was successful.

He Is We demonstrates everything that is right with pop music nowadays. I’ve never been so in focused while listening to an album in its entirety. How did you first find out about He is We?: I’m a big fan of different kinds of music, and I was searching once before online and I had discovered this band. When I say discovered I really mean discovered, I live in a very small town. I’d go on ranting about this amazing band that changed my life and everybody would be like, who? Another time I was at a church gathering and the church was playing some songs from He Is We and they just spoke to me. Rewrite the Scene review ‘My Forver’.
Out of Tacoma, Washington, emerges a beautifully balanced chemistry of lyrically impassioned vocal melodies paired with simple, heartfelt, and tasteful songs. The major-label debut by HE IS WE, entitled “My Forever”, is a blend of cozy, sunny day songs, with noticeable amounts of smiles and love. The majority of the songs have the uncanny ability to entice a smile out of the worst of days.

How did you first find out about He is We?: Rachel Taylor is from Orcas, a small island in the Puget Sound. I am just a ferry ride away. I first heard He Is We three years ago at a small-town concert in my local Presbyterian Church. I had heard of them, but hadn’t heard any of their music. Let’s just say after that concert, I was HOOKED. I can barely go a day without listening to them.
What is your favourite He is We song and why?: My favorite He Is We song would definitely have to be I Wouldn’t Mind because I love not only the lyrics, but the melody. I love singing. I sing along to any song. Singing along to He Is We however, is my favorite thing I can do! Continue reading
