D A
The morning’s here, and we're still caught up in the night.
            G A D (Start strumming here)
The sky was clear, and everything felt right.
                           A
Our time is short, but I’m sure I’ll see you soon.
      G A (Stop & let ring)
We’ll take another walk along the bridge, and underneath the moon.

Interlude: D, A, G, A

D A G
What a find, If I could I’d hit rewind and replay.
                       A
All the moments that I wished, I could’ve called you mine.

Pre-Chorus:

D G Bm A
  And tonight, I pray.

Chorus:

D
Light a way, on my love.
G
  Light a way, from above.
Bm A
Shine it down, lead me home,
        D
Back to him.

Verse 2:

D A
A night away, and we’ve got a few to go.
         G A
And I’ve mastered the art of missing, and my smile...
        D A
Lacks a glow, that you showed me how to shine that very night.
          G A D
We were entwined, Oh God how I wish you were mine.

Pre-Chorus:

D G Bm A
  And tonight, I pray.

Chorus:

D
Light a way, on my love.
G
  Light a way, from above.
Bm A
Shine it down, lead me home,
                              D
Back to him, bring me back to him

Bridge:

D G
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my heart you choose to keep.
   Bm A
And if I die before I wake, all of me is yours to take.
D G
If I don’t see you again, It’d take all I have within.
Bm A D
Maybe I’ll just stay awake, I think I’ll just stay awake.

Final Chorus:

Light a way, on my love.
G
Light a way, from above.
Bm A
Shine it down, lead me home,
                   D
Light a way, on my love.
                  G
Light a way, from above.
        Bm A
Shine it down, lead me home.

End on D

  1. Everything sounds basically perfect but the chorus sounds wrong to me. I play it:

    D
Light a way on my love
    A
    Light a way from above
    G D
Shine it down, lead me home
    A D
    Back to him

But good job on the rest of it. :thumbs up:

  2. I was just wondering what the strum pattern for the song is.
Like when it says, (Start strumming here), what’s the pattern for strumming it ?
    😀

    1. Honestly, we don’t write the tabs ourselves. We have a link to the source. However, my recommendation would be to go by ear. Honestly, you kind of have to guess when it comes to stuff like this, because it depends on the persons voice. However, if you look at the song, you should be able to approximate the strum pattern and fix it for your voice. Sorry if this wasn’t much of a help!

  3. Oh My gosh, I loveeee this song!!! I was soo happy that you have the chords so I can play it! I’m learning it right now!!!! 🙂

  4. i was wondering if you could get sheet music with the pitches for the voice part because i was planning on doing this song for my school talent show and having someone else play guitar, i just need the pitches to learn. help?
